Our School Governors
The governors are responsible for the overall management of all that takes place in school.
They work closely with the headteacher and staff to develop plans and policies to ensure that the school complies with legal requirements and is continually striving to improve in all areas.
There are committees to deal with financial matters, buildings, health and safety, curriculum and staffing issues.
The full governing body meets twice a term.
The Headteacher has opted to be a governor. Other governors are elected or nominated by different groups within the school and local community to represent all those involved or who have an interest in the school. These groups are parents, teachers, non teaching staff, church representatives (known as Foundation Governors), community representatives and a member of a local political party. This means that there should be 16 governors in total.
