Horfield CEVC Primary School - where each of us has a pride in our achievements

October 2009

Our Harvest Festival assembly was held on Wednesday 21st October.  The Hall was beautifully decorated with a huge fishing net full of wonderful coloured fishes and some hanging from the ceiling.  The stage was heaving with fresh fruit and vegetables including Magic Beans!  Lots of other produce was brought in which was then sold at the end of the afternoon and the money raised will go to charity.

The Harvest loaf was proudly on display and after assembly was cut into enough slices for every child and member of staff to enjoy!

Thank you very much to all the children who participated in reading, acting and talking to the rest of assembly.  Our new reception classes sang a lovely song, Year 1 told us about different types of fish, Year 2 acted out "The Mousehole Cat" as Paddy and Louisa from Year 5 read out the story.
