Horfield Church of England Primary School

Horfield CEVC Primary School - where each of us has a pride in our achievements

Our school is a Church of England (Voluntary Controlled) Primary School catering for children between the ages of four and eleven. There are 386 children in 14 classes.  We are very proud that part of our school is newly built and opened for the new school year in September 2009.  We have four new classrooms (Year 1 and 2), a partnership room (where our after-school club, Henry's is based), two workrooms, two changing rooms, a new library, a new ground floor office for our new Head, Mrs Taylor, an extended staffroom and a brand new ICT Learning Zone.

The school grounds are quite extensive and include a playing field and a conservation area with a pond. We also have a cycle shelter and a Cycle Training Track around the perimeter of the field.  In one corner of the field we have a vegetable garden, which children use to grow fruit and vegetables.  We also have a Ugandan style shelter complete with thatched roof that is used by parents and children.
