Sex Education
Sex Education
The Governors have agreed that there will be sex education and this will form part of a general personal, health and social education programme.Children in Years 5 and 6 in particular will follow a programme of sex education which will include discussion of human development and reproduction. It is recognised that this is a sensitive issue and parents will be given the opportunity to view and discuss the teaching approaches and resources to be used before the teaching programme commences. If parents wish to withdraw their child from sex education the school will make arrangements for the child to be supervised by another teacher or general assistant for the duration of the lessons.
